There is no doubt that Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are close, and the tight end had nothing but praise for his quarterback after the Kansas City Chiefs' overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football.

Speaking to Scott Van Pelt after the Chiefs' Week 2 win, Kelce raved about his quarterback as a man and a player. Mahomes is the “best” at a lot of things, according to his teammate and business partner.

“I can't say enough about who that guy is as a person, how he leads this team, and how he just shows up every single day,” he raved. “15 is, you know, one of the best fathers, one of the best husbands, and one of the best teammates I've played with, man.

“You saw his fight and his ability to will this team to win tonight, and it took us into overtime, man, but [I] can't say enough about what 15 means to this organization and this city and this team,” Kelce continued.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce helped Chiefs edge Colts in overtime

Mahomes and Kelce's connection was in peak form during the Chiefs' Week 2 win over the Colts. Kelce led the team in receptions (nine) and yards (101) and scored his first touchdown of the year in the first quarter, capping off a drive created by the Chiefs' defense intercepting Daniel Jones.

Kelce has had two good games in a row. In Week 1's win over the Denver Broncos, he caught three passes for 71 yards. His biggest play was a 59-yard reception from Mahomes.

The Chiefs are now 2-0 after beating the Colts, and they will play the winless Miami Dolphins in Week 3. They will then beat the Las Vegas Raiders, who are surprisingly 2-0 with Kirk Cousins under center. After their Week 5 bye, they will play another division rival, the Los Angeles Chargers.
