Fans are getting fed up with Todd Bowles despite his postgame comments following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 17-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon.
Bowles has been a head coach in the NFL for 10 seasons since his debut in 2011, going through his fifth year with the Buccaneers. Following three consecutive playoff appearances, the team missed out on the postseason in 2025.
This placed a spotlight on Bowles' job security, especially as anything less than playoff contention would put him at risk of a firing. It doesn't do him any favors after Tampa Bay fell to 0-4 on the season following the loss to Green Bay. The head coach reflected on the loss after the game, having frustration with the inability to close out games.
“Bowles said the team is losing close games and needs to learn how to finish them. It isn’t frustrating because they’re close, just that they’re 0-4. Said the need for improvement starts with him,” reporter Greg Auman wrote.
Fans are losing patience as they provided their thoughts on social media. Here are some of their reactions.

“He almost had it. The need for improvement starts with Getting Rid of him. As far as I am concerned this season is a win-win for Bucs Fans. Either they go on a epic and historic run or we finally, finally get rid of Bowles! Just pray they get ab Offensive HC so we can get some consistency around here,” another remarked.
“It's insane he is okay saying that considering this is a very clear regression for this team. If this is your first or second year, fine but he's had way too long to figure it out to admit he doesn't know how to seal the deal,” one commented.
The Buccaneers will look to bounce back in their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 as kickoff commences on Oct. 8 at 8:15 p.m. ET.
