The Tennessee Titans were able to get their first win of the season last week against the Indianapolis Colts, and they made a few changes that could've helped the result. One of them happened to be benching Alontae Taylor, who was supposed to be one of the Titans' top corners this season after signing him in free agency.

Taylor hasn't been playing the best through six weeks, and it's even sparked trade rumors. It seems like the cornerback has heard the noise, and he went on social media to let everyone know he's good.

“Don’t get it twisted. I’m right where I’m suppose to be! What’s understood ain’t eva gone be explained ! #respond,” Taylor wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler was one of the first people to mention Taylor potentially being on the trade block.

“He was widely considered the top corner in free agency, signing a three-year, $58 million deal with the Titans in March. His Week 6 benching has placed him on the radar of teams that might look to bolster the position in the next few weeks. He has struggled as an outside corner for Tennessee but is at his best as a disruptive slot closer to the action. He's 27 with good football left, so a trade could bring out his best,” Fowler wrote.

After the game, head coach Robert Saleh spoke about benching Taylor.

“We'll discuss it as a staff and make a decision that is best for the team moving forward,” Saleh said.

If Taylor continues to be benched, it wouldn't be a surprise if the Titans were looking to move on from him. He's still young and could give a team that needs secondary help a boost, and a new system could benefit him.
