Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards took aim at LeBron James, Jaylen Brown and new teammate LaMelo Ball in an Adidas commercial promoting his latest signature shoe.

Ahead of “The Cold Blooded Anthony Edwards 3” releasing Friday, Sept. 18, Edwards joked about James' decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers instead of potentially joining him in Minnesota. The Timberwolves star suggested there was another reason James chose Philadelphia.

“We old school, so we ain't gonna play it safe,” Edwards said. “Speaking of old school, you see where big dawg ended up? He was gonna join me in Minnesota, but I guess his knees couldn't handle the cold weather. It's cool though. We know why he really made that decision. Philly got some of the best barbers in the world.”

Edwards then brought James' new 76ers teammate and former Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown into the joke.

“Between him and ol' boy from Boston [Jaylen Brown], they gonna have a whole lotta enhancements going on in the locker room,” Edwards said.

The comments continued Edwards' playful approach to promoting his Adidas signature line, but James and Brown were not his only targets.

Edwards also turned his attention to Ball, his new backcourt partner in Minnesota. While expressing excitement about playing alongside the former Charlotte Hornets star, Edwards made it clear there is one activity he does not plan on doing with Ball: carpooling.

“I'm excited about my new road dog,” Edwards said. “They brought my twin to the Twin Cities. We've been working out together and doing all types of things. But one thing we ain't doing is carpooling if he [is] driving. I ain't riding with him y'all.”

Ball's arrival gives Edwards another star alongside him as Minnesota prepares for the 2026-27 season. The pairing will enter the campaign with significant attention after the Timberwolves reshaped their roster around Edwards.

The Adidas commercial leaned into Edwards' personality while also touching on two of the offseason's notable moves. James is beginning a new chapter with Philadelphia, while Edwards will attempt to build chemistry with Ball in Minnesota.

Before either partnership takes the court in the regular season, Edwards has already found material to roast both of them.
