TGL has new five-player rosters for 2027
TGL is ramping up.
Monday saw the league have its first ever trade as Shane Lowry was dealt from The Bay Golf Club to Boston Common Golf. Within the announcement of Lowry’s move was the promise that each TGL roster would be expanding to five per team for the 2027 season, and we now know who will suit up for each squad.
Los Angeles Golf Club: Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Sahith Theegala, and Ben James
Atlanta Drive GC: Chris Gotterup, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Billy Horschel, and Michael Brennan
The Bay Golf Club: Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee, Ludvig Aberg, Ryan Fox, and Blades Brown
Boston Common Golf: Shane Lowry, Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Michael Thorbjornsen, and Hideki Matsuyama
Jupiter Links Golf Club: Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Tom Kim, Akshay Bhatia, and Keith Mitchell
New York Golf Club: Matt Fitzpatrick, Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler, Ben Griffin, and Alex Fitzpatrick
Motor City Golf Club: Brooks Koepka, Jackson Koivun, Jake Knapp, Si Woo Kim, and Bud Cauley
Those italicized are new to TGL, although everyone on Motor City Golf Club is new as they are the league’s first expansion franchise. Obviously Lowry has swapped teams as noted.
There has always been a lot of star power within TGL and they are adding a ton of it with their new players this season, including some of the young and rising superstars on the PGA Tour.
“Our teams are developing distinct identities that reflect their players’ personalities and competitive fire, the character of the cities they represent and the vision of their ownership groups,” said Rufus Hack, president, golf, TMRW Sports. “After two seasons, there’s history between these teams, and those growing rivalries bring added intensity to the competition. With Motor City Golf Club joining the league and new players bringing fresh energy to established teams, there’s plenty for fans to look forward to in 2027.”
WTGL kicks off its inaugural season in short order, November 8th to be specific, so soon enough the SoFi Center is going to be rocking and rolling.
Get ready.
