The Houston Texans sent shockwaves by landing Marvin Harrison Jr. via the Arizona Cardinals. But another Texans wideout will soon have his 2026 debut with the team. Except Tank Dell makes his triumphant return since 2024 before facing the New York Giants.
That's because Dell is finally healthy from his devastating knee injury during Dec. 2024.
Dell broke his silence for the first time since that career-threatening ailment. He flashed a smile in front of reporters Wednesday and showed a humbleness in the moment. But he also couldn't contain his excitement, especially making this vow after his first catch.
“I don’t care if the first catch is two yards, five yards—I’m spiking the ball and doing what I gotta do,” Dell said.
But returning to the huddle has left him feeling overjoyed.
“It’s gonna feel good,” Dell added. “I’m ready to get tackled. I’m gonna be joyful.”

Dell now can form a trio with the newly added Harrison Jr. and Pro Bowler Nico Collins. But Houston fans recall his impact before that excruciating ACL injury against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The standout from the University of Houston caught 10 touchdowns in his first two seasons. He scored three in 2024 while also surpassing his rookie reception total of 47 with 51 receptions. Dell himself looked like he was forming epic chemistry with CJ Stroud at quarterback.
But Dell has gotten bitten by the injury bug in his career. Obviously his knee ailment wiped away an entire season and nearly half of the 2026 campaign. Now he can't contain his excitement about coming back onto the field.
