As the dust settles around Jalen Hurts' blood clot situation, one person who still hasn't addressed it publicly is Howie Roseman, the Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager who oversees all roster decisions for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jeffrey Lurie put his name on the initial statements announcing Hurts' illness and its update. Nick Sirianni has commented on Hurts. The NFL's medical executives have also commented. And even Roger Goodell has been placed on the record publicly about Hurts, but Roseman has not, something ESPN's Stephen A. Smith takes issue with, as he explained on his namesake SiriusXM radio show.

“Where the h*ll is Howie Roseman, the executive VP? Where is he? How the h*ll do you think you get to put your coach out there without a medical expert? And you don't answer any questions. I want to see Howie Roseman. You are the executive VP of the Philadelphia Eagles, a person that I revere and believe is the best in the NFL right now. Where the h*ll are you?” Smith asked.

“How in God's name, as the Executive VP, do you not put the medical expert there? Do you put your coach out there front and center knowing that he is not qualified to answer these questions? Knowing that everybody in that organization outside of the owner, Jeffrey Lurie, answers to you, and you're hiding, and you're putting a coach out there thinking that the Philadelphia media, of all people, was going to go for that. Have you lost your ever-loving mind? That is crazy.

“Where is Howie Roseman? Get your a** in front of that media and answer these questions. You're the one that's supposed to be answering these questions. Why was your quarterback out on that football field? Who gave the okay for him to be out there eight hours after he was released from a hospital with blood clots? Who said it was okay to fly him home? Did the flight home, or did his play against Jacksonville before the flight home, have anything to do with the blood clots circulating to his lungs? Where is Howie Roseman?”

Should Howie Roseman take questions regarding Hurts? Yes. Roseman took questions after Cam Jurgens was traded, before the regular season, and after other major events like the NFL draft, free agency, and any big extensions, making his silence here very notable. While it may not be a comfortable topic to discuss, the longer it takes to address, the more issues fans, pundits, and Stephen A. Smith will take with the decision.
