What the heck happened with the Americans on Friday? After trailing 2-3 entering Day 2 of the Presidents Cup, the International Squad came out and swept Team USA in all five of the foursomes played, and only two of the matches made it to the 18th green.

It was that bad. It is now 7-3 for the International Team. Funny enough, two years ago, this same thing happened as the International Squad swept all five matches on Friday.

Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns could not beat the Canadiens Nick Taylor and Corey Conners, losing by 1 point on the 18th hole. Scheffler is now 1-8-0 in alternate matches at the Presidents Cup in his career, per Kyle Porter. However, the loss of this match was due to Sam Burns' poor play, not really on Scheffler, outside of a few mishaps. Anyway, they were not the only duo to underperform.

Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa, one day after playing very well and earning a point, blew a 1-point advantage and lost to Min Woo Lee and Ryan Fox. Justin Thomas and Cameron Young were the most disappointing, as they could not manage to make a single birdie on Friday and lost by three points. Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele played miserable golf alongside Jacob Bridgeman and Russell Henley. Just inexcusable play from the Americans on Friday in the second straight Presidents Cup.

You have to tip your cap to Geoff Ogilvy, the captain for the International Squad. He had his players firing on all cylinders on Friday, and they hold all the chips entering the weekend. Hideki Matsuyama, Jungjae Im, Ryan Fox, and Min Woo Lee have been very good to start.

Here is the schedule for Day 3:

Morning Session (Round 3): Four four-ball matches starting between 7:02 a.m. and 7:56 a.m. ET.
Afternoon Session (Round 4): Four foursomes (alternate shot) matches starting between 1:15 p.m. and 1:57 p.m. ET.
