The Connecticut Sun have only two more home games remaining in the season, the final games to be played in their home Mohegan Sun Arena before the franchise’s planned move to Houston for next season where they’re expected to be rebranded as the former Comets. While there have been questions about what the move means for team staff, Sun general manager Morgan Tuck will retain her job amid the move to Houston, as per Maggie Vanoni of CT Insider.

Morgan Tuck has been the general manager for the Sun since 2024 and has been the architect of the team’s current youth movement. She began her tenure in her current capacity at the same time as head coach Rachid Meziane.

Tuck played for the Sun for four seasons after being selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the organization. She was traded to the Seattle Storm in 2020 where she won a WNBA title before announcing her abrupt retirement due to ongoing injury issues.

But prior to her tenure with the Sun, Tuck was no stranger to the region. She played her collegiate career at nearby UConn where she helped the program win four straight national championships alongside future Hall of Famer Breanna Stewart and famed head coach Geno Auriemma.

Across her five seasons in the WNBA, Tuck holds career averages of 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds with splits of 41 percent shooting from the field, 32.2 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 71.7 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

Among her notable moves as Sun general manger were drafting Aneesah Morrow, Charlisse Leger-Walker, Giannia Kneepkens, Saniya Rivers and Nell Angloma and signing veterans Brittney Griner and Kennedy Burke.
