New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson plans to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, though his questionable designation and a pending roster move leave his availability unsettled.

Tyson completed three limited practices this week after the Saints opened his 21-day practice window. A hamstring injury has kept him out of New Orleans’ first seven games, delaying the first-round pick’s opportunity to play alongside Chris Olave and catch passes from quarterback Tyler Shough.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared an update Saturday on X, formerly Twitter, citing sources who said Tyson “should be good to go” for New Orleans.

Tyson suffered a Grade 2 right hamstring strain during an August 13 joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Saints placed him on injured reserve with a return designation on August 30, and his absence extended through the team’s bye.

The latest setback followed soft-tissue problems during his college career. Hamstring issues also disrupted his pre-draft preparation, preventing him from participating in both the NFL Scouting Combine and his pro day.

The Saints selected Tyson eighth overall after he recorded 136 catches for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns over his final two seasons at Arizona State.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound wideout began his college career at Colorado before transferring to Arizona State. He wears No. 0 with the Saints, keeping his number from his time with the Sun Devils.

New Orleans enters Sunday’s matchup at the Caesars Superdome with a 2-5 record. Tyson’s potential addition would give the Saints another receiving option, but his practice participation has not yet secured him a place on the active roster.

The Saints must activate Tyson from injured reserve by Saturday afternoon for him to play against Cleveland. That transaction remains the next required step before his debut can proceed.
