Odell Beckham Jr. did not hold back after the New York Giants cut him, posting a long message on Instagram to express his displeasure. His second stint with the Giants did not prosper, as he only appeared in 19 snaps in three games.

Following Beckham's release, New York signed Braxton Berrios and Charlie Jones to the active roster to bolster the special teams.

Unfortunately, Berrios announced on Tuesday that he is out for the season due to a foot/ankle injury.

“Two of my last three seasons ended this way, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t miserable right now. I felt I belonged here this year, and everything finally fell in place. Now it feels like everything I’ve poured into the last nine months is gone in the blink of an eye,” wrote the 31-year-old wide receiver on Instagram.

Berrios signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Giants in June. He was relegated to the practice squad in August. He was activated in four games, although he only logged one reception.

He announced his season-ending surgery on his birthday. Still, he remained hopeful that the terrible setback is just a setup for a bigger comeback.

“The timing that I thought had arrived feels like a punishment again, but the good news about God is I know it's coming. Maybe not when we want, but always on time. Time to rebuild,” added Berrios.

The Giants are atop the NFC East with a 3-1 record. They will visit the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
