The idea of Shohei Ohtani getting benched amid his slump was being discussed ahead of Game 3 of the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers ended up keeping him in the lineup, but Ohtani was moved down to the No. 6 spot. After dealing with the benching rumors just a couple of days ago, Ohtani is now back in the lead off spot. Jon Morosi of MLB Network shared LA's Game 4 lineup, as Shohei is batting first as the Dodgers face elimination amid their 0-3 deficit.
The Brewers are expected to have a bullpen game. Left-hander Shane Drohan is getting the start. A lefty starter may have stood in the way of the left-handed Ohtani batting so high in the lineup given his struggles, but the bullpen game element means Drohan may not last more than three innings depending on pitch count and in-game scenarios.
