On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks hit the field on the road for a matchup against the Washington Commanders. This game marked the return of quarterback Sam Darnold, who was back in the lineup after making a quick return from an injury suffered in Week 1.
However, it wasn't all good for the Seahawks on the injury front on Sunday, as the team's safety Nick Emmanwori exited the game against Washington with a hamstring injury, and was officially listed as questionable to return.
NFL insider Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network noted on X that “Just back from offseason ankle surgery, Nick Emmanwori (is) now questionable with a hamstring injury for the #Seahawks.”
It's certainly a tough turn of events for Emmanwori, who made his season debut with Seattle last week against the Arizona Cardinals, in a game that the Seahawks won handily.
Meanwhile, Seattle is also anxiously awaiting the injury return of running back Zach Charbonnet, who is still recovering after suffering an ACL injury during the playoffs last year, with fellow running back and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III having departed the team in free agency for the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks will hope for good news on Emmanwori, as the team ended up finding itself behind 14-7 against the Commanders, despite quarterback Jayden Daniels being out with an injury of his own.
In any case, following the clash against Washington, the Seahawks will next hit the field next Sunday for a home game against Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
