The Washington Commanders started Marcus Mariota at quarterback on Sunday with Jayden Daniels out with a dislocated left elbow. It's been an impressive outing for Mariota on Sunday, as he's playing rather well against a tough Seattle Seahawks defense. His play has been so good, in fact, that he accomplished an impressive feat against Seattle not seen since Sam Darnold.
When Darnold was playing for the Minnesota Vikings, he threw two touchdowns in the first half during a game against the Seahawks in the 2024 campaign. Mariota accomplished that same feat, leading the Commanders to a 17-10 lead going into halftime, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.
