Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price exited Sunday's 31-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals with what was initially reported as a chest injury. However, head coach Mike Macdonald clarified Monday that the issue is actually located around Price's shoulder.

Speaking on Seattle Sports 710 AM, Macdonald indicated that Price's shoulder is intact and described the injury as “nothing serious, it seems like.” The Seahawks have not provided any further update on the rookie's condition, leaving his availability for Week 3 against the Washington Commanders uncertain.

Price's participation in practice later in the week should provide more information about his status for the upcoming road matchup at Northwest Stadium.

Through Seattle's opening two games, the first-round pick has recorded 23 carries for 106 yards, averaging 4.6 yards per attempt. He has forced seven missed tackles, gained six first downs and produced 89 rushing yards after contact. He has also contributed three receptions for 14 yards on four targets.

Price finished Sunday's game with 13 rushing attempts for 52 yards, matching the 52 rushing yards he logged in Week 1. He also lost a fumble against the Cardinals.

Emanuel Wilson stepped up after Price's departure. Wilson led the Seahawks with 21 carries for 92 yards and was the only RB remaining late in the game after George Holani was evaluated for a concussion, which came back negative.

Seattle also has Holani available as a potential option, while Jacardia Wright or Velus Jones Jr. could be elevated from the practice squad if necessary. Meanwhile, Zach Charbonnet is still recovering from a torn ACL and cannot join the team until at least Week 5, when the Seahawks face the San Francisco 49ers.

Price's injury history includes a pedal Achilles tear in June 2022 that caused him to miss his freshman season at Notre Dame and upper-leg soreness in August 2026 that kept him out for a week of training camp.
