Former Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is adding to the growing hype about the potential of a Jonathan Taylor trade to the AFC West franchise.
The Super Bowl-winning QB believes that a partnership between Taylor and the Broncos could make Denver the team to beat, at least in the AFC.
Wilson isn't losing much confidence in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs despite the team losing two games in a row, including to the Broncos in Week 8, but he knows that the team can still get back up and dominate.
With that in mind, Wilson thinks that the Broncos should go hard after Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor before the trade deadline.
“Yeah, the Broncos though, and we talked about this on set two of the NFL today if they get another piece, that other piece, I'm just telling you, Wilson said on CBS Sports' Set, Hut!
“But that team changes completely if they get a guy like Jonathan Taylor. To me, and I'm doing everything I can if I'm Sean Payton, if I'm George Paton, their GM was a great GM, and if I'm him, I'm going after Jonathan Taylor to change this team so that way I know I have all the pieces necessary right now.”

All that being said, the price to acquire Taylor from the Colts is going to be a steep one. The Colts signed Taylor to a two-year, $44 million contract extension in August, and Indianapolis can be expected to ask for multiple picks in return in such a blockbuster transaction.
As it stands, the Broncos are averaging just 92.6 rushing yards per game, well below the league average.
