With just weeks left for arguably the most-awaited game of the decade, GTA VI, the hype has been building. Recently, Houston Rockets star Steven Adams issued one of the most funniest warnings ever ahead of the 2026-2027 NBA season.

Speaking at the Houston Rockets media day, Adams predicted that athletes might suck in Nov. 2026 due to GTA VI's launch. He noted that NBA players and coaches could get distracted, which in turn might affect their performance.

“I will say, you guys should anticipate November. The performance of the league, league-wide, GTA [GTA VI] is dropping. So look at the NFL, look at all the leagues, and watch them plummet, mate. Just for the month of November, performance is going to go down.

“It should come back up, though. Most of the boys will get it done, but hopefully they finish the game. Coaching as well, by the way. The coaching staffs are going to be horrendous, mate, just for November, but it should bounce back in December, hopefully. Yeah, should be good,” he shared.

Rockstar Games has officially set the game's release date for Nov. 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders became available worldwide on Jun. 25, and players can start preloading the game from Nov. 12, 2026.

The last GTA game was GTA V, which released over a decade ago in 2013. After a wait of over thirteen years, fans will be finally be getting a new mainline GTA game as well as a brand new revamped map of the fan-favorite, Vice City. Players will be able to take control of Jason Duvall and Lucia Caminos in the new game.
