Last weekend, Chicago Bears fans gasped in shock when they saw Caleb Williams carried off the field. He suffered a hamstring strain, not a season-ending injury.

Immediately, everyone jumped to the worst-case scenario. Some who think poorly of Williams chastised him, accusing him of being overly dramatic.

However, Williams has a top ally in Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders, per Mike Pendleton of Bears Wire.

He said on The Rush Podcast that he experienced a similar moment. Then, he offered his support to Williams.

“I’ve had one hammy thing a while back,” Crosby said. “That s— will freak you the f— out when it first happens…so in his head, you’d imagine oh s—. Something really bad just happened and you have all these emotions and things going on….we send love to Caleb and we know he’ll bounce back.”

Last Sunday, the Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings 9-3—a major turn after they defeated the Carolina Panthers 59-37 in their regular-season opener.

Meanwhile, the Bears are setting their sights on the Philadelphia Eagles next Monday night. Also, according to reports, Williams is unlikely to play due to taking precautions.

Head coach Ben Johnson is taking a “week-to-week” approach to determine Williams' readiness not just for this Monday, but for as long as it takes.

Williams is beginning a city in which he will be the sole focus of the organization. In other words, every move he makes will be scrutinized relentlessly as he is expected to carry the team on his shoulders.
