The Baltimore Ravens just can't catch a break with all the injuries. Already down to their third-string quarterback, the Ravens have now lost safety Kyle Hamilton for the rest of their Thursday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hamilton will not return after suffering a hip injury. He had already been dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of practice the previous week.
The Ravens look on course to lose their fourth game in a row. As of this writing, they are down 33-10 to the Jaguars in the fourth quarter.
A first-round pick by the Ravens in 2022, Hamilton came into Thursday night as the team's second-leading tackler behind Roquan Smith with 57 tackles in eight games. He also has one interception and a forced fumble.
Hamilton's injury adds to the Ravens' already lengthy injury list in the secondary. Cornerback Nate Wiggins was listed as inactive shortly before the Jags game due to illness. Safety Jaylinn Hawkins was also listed as out.
It remains to be seen whether this latest injury will keep Hamilton out for their next game against the Los Angeles Chargers. But they will have a lengthy 11-day break before that game, which should give him time to recover.
But if it is in any way serious, the Ravens are unlikely to risk sending him out amid his other injury concerns. With the Ravens' season increasingly looking lost amid their quarterback injuries, they will be wise to exercise caution moving forward.
