It's been a disastrous few days for the Baltimore Ravens, who recently lost to the Buffalo Bills in blowout fashion on the road to sink their record to 4-4. Shortly after that loss, the Ravens found out that quarterback Lamar Jackson might miss the rest of the season after suffering a thumb injury in that contest.

Meanwhile, backup Tyler Huntley also suffered a toe injury in this one, opening the door for third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano to be thrust into the lineup, not producing great results. Fagnano is expected to be the starter for this Thursday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but now, even he is dealing with an injury as practice got underway on Tuesday.

“Fagnano battling through an ankle injury. Wearing a brace on said ankle. In line to start for the #Ravens Thursday,” reported NFL insider Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.

It's been a disastrous turn of events for the Ravens, who opened up this season as one of the teams seemingly with a legit chance of winning the Super Bowl, and looked to hold up their end of the bargain on those expectations through the first few weeks of the campaign.

However, Jackson then went down with an ankle injury that kept him out for three contests, and then suffered the thumb injury on one of the very first plays of the game on Sunday against the Bills, with Huntley going down shortly thereafter.

The Ravens are now on the outside looking in of the AFC playoff picture, and will have to pull off a big upset against the red-hot Jaguars on Thursday in order to avoid falling below the .500 mark this season.
