The Baltimore Ravens won an incredibly important game last Sunday. With Lamar Jackson out with an injury, it was important to try to win the games he wasn't playing in. They did just that against the Atlanta Falcons, winning in overtime after a clutch interception by Kyle Hamilton to seal the win.

What really caught the attention of fans, though, was what Hamilton apparently said before that interception. Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey recalled that the star safety was apparently giddy when Tua Tagovailoa entered the game for the injured Michael Penix Jr. According to Humphrey, Hamilton called his shot and said that he was going to pick off the backup quarterback before that drive.

“Kyle was like, ‘TUA IN THE GAME.’ He was like, ‘He gonna throw me one.’ It was the most excited I’ve probably seen Kyle,” Hamilton said earlier.

Hamilton broke his silence and talked about his side of the story. The Ravens safety said that Humphrey's story was wildly exaggerated, and that he has the utmost respect for Tagovailoa. Hamilton said that his excitement was more about him being pumped about the first drive of overtime and a chance to take advantage of the Falcons' sudden change at the quarterback position.

“That was pretty hyperbolic by Marlon,” Hamilton said. “I would say the way he presented it was not how I was presented. It was more so the defense's opportunity to go win the game. It doesn't matter who it was. Could have been a sack, could have been a fourth-down stop, could have been a pick. And obviously Tua was the quarterback and he hadn't played that much. I think he got one snap before that in the game. So it's like, ‘Hey, we're taking advantage of somebody who's coming in the game, hasn't been in there for a while.' [I] got upmost respect for Tua as a player, as a person. I know him, he's a good guy. And no malice.”

The Ravens are set to take on the Cleveland Browns this week. They're looking to improve to 5-1 this season.
