Will Lutz came to the rescue for the Denver Broncos as he nailed a game-winning field goal to help them beat reigning Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks 17-14 in overtime on Thursday night.

Lutz has been playing in the NFL since 2016, going through his fourth year with the Broncos. He has been a stable safety net for the offense with his kicking accuracy, helping them in their latest playoff run last season. He looks to maintain that key role for this ongoing campaign.

It was mainly a defensive game between two sides as Denver led 14-3 at halftime. However, Seattle fought back by scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

The Seahawks had their chance to complete the comeback but were unable to get a score on their drive. This paved the way for Denver to get in the right position for Lutz to convert his 53-yard field goal to send the home crowd into a frenzy.
