After all the drama surrounding Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers, the recently acquired Toronto Raptors star was in the studio with a Chinese rapper, which baffled some fans.
Top Barry posted a video of himself with Leonard in the studio on Friday, Sep. 4, a couple of days after the NBA punished Steve Ballmer and the Clippers for circumventing the salary cap with Leonard.

The video was making the rounds again on Tuesday, Sep. 15, 2026, on X, formerly Twitter. Fans were divided, to say the least. One liked the last bar of the rap, calling it âÂÂtough,â but another said, âÂÂI'm reading words that have never been put together before.âÂÂ
Someone else was extremely blunt in their take, saying, âÂÂThis is worse than being paid under the table.â Another fan joked, âÂÂI didn't even think bro listened to music!âÂÂ

After the investigation of Ballmer and the Clippers, the Raptors' trade for Leonard, bringing him back to Toronto after he won a championship during the 2018-19 season with them, was made official.
The trade was initially finalized in June 2026 before free agency officially opened. The Clippers were to receive Brandon Ingram, Grade Dick, two first-round NBA Draft picks, two second-round picks, and a future pick swap in return.
The NBA's investigation of the Clippers' alleged salary cap circumvention put a pin in the trade. After a couple of months, it was finally made official.
Leonard previously spent one season with the Raptors after starting his career with the San Antonio Spurs. He then signed with the Clippers in free agency in 2019, remaining there until 2026.
Throughout his career, Leonard has won two championships and was named NBA Finals MVP of both series. He has also made seven All-Star teams and seven All-NBA teams (three First Team and four Second Team).
