Matthew Stafford made incredible NFL history for his career as he delivered a strong performance in the Los Angeles Rams' 28-6 win over the New York Giants at home on Monday night.

Stafford has been playing in the NFL since 2009, starting his sixth season with the Rams. He shines as one of the best quarterbacks in the league, earning MVP honors last season.

After struggling in the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, Stafford bounced back in historic fashion. He completed 22 out of 31 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns and one interception.

His efforts paved the way for him to record his 69th game of throwing for 300 or more yards. This allowed him to surpass NFL legend Ben Roethlisberger for seventh place on the all-time list, as the team's PR account revealed.
