Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were reunited in Foxborough this weekend, and the New England Patriots legend made it clear just how much his former tight end still means to him.
After the Patriots shared a video of the two embracing on X with the caption, “Gronk & Tommy,” Brady reposted the clip with a simple but telling message.
“That’s my 🐐,” Brady wrote.
The reunion came on a special weekend for Gronkowski, who was officially inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday at Patriot Place Plaza. Brady was among the many former teammates and coaches in attendance and received a loud ovation from the crowd.
Gronkowski was voted in by fans back in April, beating out fellow finalists Logan Mankins and Adam Vinatieri to become the 38th member of the Patriots Hall of Fame. He joined Brady, who was inducted in 2024.
“Rob became a fan favorite almost immediately and remained the standard at tight end for nearly a decade,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said when the honor was announced.
The honor was well deserved. Gronkowski spent nine seasons in New England after being selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Arizona. He racked up 521 receptions for 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns in the regular season, and his 80 total touchdowns rank first in franchise history. He also earned five Pro Bowl nods and four First-Team All-Pro selections.
Together, Brady and Gronkowski formed one of the most dominant quarterback-tight end duos in NFL history. They won three Super Bowls together in New England before reuniting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to capture a fourth title in the 2020 season.
The celebration is not over yet. Gronkowski will also be honored during a halftime celebration when the Patriots host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Members of the 2016 Super Bowl LI team are also in town for a 10th-anniversary reunion and will be introduced before the game.
Brady will be on hand for that one, too, calling the game from the FOX broadcast booth.
The Patriots enter the matchup at 5-3 on the season, coming off a 24-19 win over the Miami Dolphins. A win over Green Bay would be a fitting way to cap off Gronkowski’s big weekend.
