The Florida Panthers took on the defending Stanley Cup champions Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Florida is looking to get itself back into Stanley Cup contention. Thanks to Gustav Forsling, their season started off on the right foot.

The Panthers and Hurricanes needed all three periods and nearly all of overtime to finally settle this one. But it was Forsling who ended the scoreless contest with only seconds to spare. His goal won Florida the game, giving the Panthers a huge opening-night victory.
