The Baltimore Orioles have seen some outstanding performances from slugger Pete Alonso this season. Alonso is on a hot-streak, with home runs now in three consecutive games. He is approaching just two other players, including Albert Pujols, with his home run stats.

Alonso homered for Baltimore on Friday, in a 6-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee won the game in 10 innings. The Orioles star hit a three-run homer to tie the game in the third inning, but Baltimore's offense wasn't able to come up with a win.

Alonso now has 38 home runs and 105 RBIs on the season. He is hitting at a .267 batting average for Baltimore. He has now matched his home run total from the 2025 season, which was the last one he spent with the New York Mets.

The slugger now has four home runs in his last seven games. Baltimore hopes he can keep it up as the season nears its end. The Orioles still have a chance to post a winning season despite a turbulent year.

The Orioles are also still fighting for a Wild Card spot in the American League, despite holding a 75-79 record.

“Losing right now is tough,” Baltimore third baseman Coby Mayo said, per MLB.com. “Obviously, we did a great job rallying back, and you’re going to have those games where you rally back and lose. You’re going to have the games where you rally back and win.”

Baltimore plays the Brewers again on Saturday. The Orioles are currently last in the American League East.
