The Athletics' new ballpark in Las Vegas continues to take shape, and could open sooner than expected with multiple construction milestones hit in recent weeks.

Located at the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue on the famous Sin City Strip, the $2 billion venue is starting to take shape.

In the recent weeks, the third and fourth pieces of the third roof arch were installed, with the final middle piece set to be added in October.

Athletics owner John Fisher gave reporters an update on progress, and also revealed that construction still remains on schedule.

"I was over at our construction site earlier this morning, and we put up two truss pieces of truss No.23," Fisher told reporters.

"Before you know it, the roof will be covering the facility and then we are going to be doing all of the interior work.

"In February of 2028, we are going to open this facility, and I couldn't be more excited."

The historic MLB franchise left the Oakland Coliseum, at the conclusion of the 2024 MLB season.

While waiting for their new stadium to be built, they have been playing home games at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.

The minor league stadium plays host to The Athletics and the Sacramento River Cats, who are the Triple-A affiliate for the San Francisco Giants.

Construction is reportedly ahead of schedule, however, the A's will honor their commitment to Sacramento and play there for the 2027 season.

The city of Sacramento have since launched an expansion bid, with MLB commissioner Rob Manfred keen to expand the league before he steps down.

Athletic's announce first founding partner

The team has signed up Circa Resorts & Casino and Circa Sports as its first founding partner.

They are set to become the official resort and sports book of the A's and its stadium, as well as being an official founding partner of the franchise.

Through the partnership, Circa will help out with the A's vision to redefine baseball hospitality.

They will open a new exclusive Circa Dugout Box and seating connected to their hotel experience.

The Dugout Box will be a premium hospitality experience putting guests alongside the action connected directly to the A’s dugout.

Circa also will introduce the ‘Time of Your Life’ seats, available exclusively through the property’s hotel packages.
