The Texas football team got some unfortunate news with running back Hollywood Smothers, who has suffered a season-ending injury. But the Longhorns have gotten somewhat positive injury updates for a change, as both Colin Simmons and Cam Coleman are both game-time decisions to play against Missouri.

Simmons, in particular, is looking good to play, per College GameDay. Meanwhile, there is still some skepticism surrounding Coleman's ability to go, per Pete Nakos of On3. ESPN's Pete Thamel added that Coleman is not taking part in drills, which could potentially point to him not playing.

Simmons has been sidelined for the last two games after suffering a high ankle sprain in their 27-24 loss to Florida. As for Coleman, he left the Longhorns' 31-3 win over Mississippi State early and did not play in the second half. Prior to his exit, Coleman had two catches for 61 yards with a touchdown.

Despite missing their star edge rusher in Simmons, the Texas defense has done a good job against opposing offenses. They gave Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss a lot of trouble, picking him off three times. They also completely shut down Mississippi State's ground game, limiting the Bulldogs to just 68 yards.

On the other end, Coleman's potential absence will be a blow to Arch Manning and the Texas offense. Coleman leads the team with seven touchdown catches this season to go along with 409 receiving yards. Luckily for the Longhorns, they have two other wideouts with over 400 yards receiving this season in Ryan Wingo (36 catches, 470 yards) and Emmett Mosley V (25 catches, 419 yards).
