The Arizona Cardinals are searching for answers, as they have now lost four straight games after getting blown out by the Detroit Lions, 45-21, at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.
After winning their season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, everything has gone wrong for the Cardinals.
They were outscored, 24-0, by the Lions in the second quarter and never recovered. The Cardinals have now dropped nine consecutive games at home, dating back to last season.
Coach Mike LaFleur acknowledged that they need to plug a lot of holes and that everything should start with him.
“I've got a lot to fix,” said LaFleur, as quoted by Cardinals reporter Darren Urban.
Urban noted: “LaFleur said he appreciates questions about Nick Rallis and defense woes, but added that offense is as much to blame, and there is a lot to address.”
Jacoby Brissett went 29-of-47 for 292 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He was sacked five times.
The Cardinals, who are in their first year under LaFleur, have given up an average of 37 points in their losing skid, placing Rallis in the hot seat.
