Week 4 in college football features one of the biggest group of six matches of the season. Boise State will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to take on Western Michigan. Both teams come in with a loss from Week 1. Boise State lost a close game to Oregon, while Western Michigan fell to Michigan in a controversial ending that included a second being added back on the clock and a Hail Mary from the Wolverines. After both Oregon and Michigan both escaped with wins, Dave Portnoy of Barstool, a famous Wolverines fan, took a shot at Oregon, and Boise State caught a stray in the crossfire.

“You know what is amazing with all this misguided Michigan hate. Oregon who is a trendy national title pick struggled with arguably a worse team in Boise than WMU. But they dont have the Block M so nobody cares,” Portnoy said.

While Boise State and Western Michigan will face off on the field to decide who is better, Boise head coach Spencer Danielson is sending some strays the Wolverines' way, according to Shaun Goodwin of Idaho Statesman.

“They're absolutely an undefeated team. They beat Michigan at Michigan,” Danielson said of Western Michigan.

While it was a controversial ending to the game, the NCAA has said the victory for Michigan will stand, while the College Football Playoff has put out its own statement on the situation. With the CFP changing the rules this year so that all four power conference champions make the playoffs, it is likely that just one G6 team makes it to the field.

The winner of this game will have a claim for that spot if they can continue to remain with just one loss and win their conference. Still, teams such as North Dakota State and James Madison would like their own say on the matter. Boise State and Western Michigan will kick off at 3:30 pm ET on Saturday.
