On Sunday evening, the Kansas City Chiefs improved to 2-0 on the 2026 NFL season with a thrilling home overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts. The Chiefs got a huge game from tight end Travis Kelce in this one, who hauled in nine catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Recently, legendary NFL wide receiver Michael Irvin stopped by ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show and broke down the key reason he thinks Kelce has gotten fof to such a hot start to this season.

“Travis Kelce looks younger this year than the last two years at least after he's gotten married.. Taylor Swift you are doing great,” said Irvin, per Pat McAfee on X, formerly Twitter.

Indeed, Kelce was married to Swift this offseason in a highly publicized wedding in New York City, and it does appear that he's got an extra pep in his step so far to begin this season.

Kelce was rumored to be mulling retirement this past offseason after the Chiefs' ugly 2025 season, which resulted in them missing the playoffs altogether, but the star instead opted to return for another year, and his connection with Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes seems to be as strong as ever through two games.

Overall, Kansas City didn't have as strong a performance on Sunday vs the Colts as they did in their Week 1 demolition of the Denver Broncos, but after stumbling out of the gates last year, Chiefs fans will surely take the 2-0 start.

Up next for the Chiefs is a seemingly much easier game on the road against the Miami Dolphins. Kickoff for that contest is set for September 27 at 1:00 pm ET.
