While attending Game 3 of the playoff series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees, Marlins Man (Laurence Leavy) sat next to married couple Dua Lipa and Callum Turner at the stadium.

Marlins Man went viral for sitting behind home plate with Lipa and Turner. He responded to Barstool Sports' post about it on X, formerly Twitter, by sharing a selfie with the pop star and actor. He wrote, “She is SUPER NICE. Maybe [the] best celebrity [I've] met.”

So i had no idea who this couple were and they were so nice and friendly to everyone. I told them i know sports, not music nor movies. They recently got married in june in italy i think. I wish them 50 years or more of happiness. pic.twitter.com/PcIArOGeMy

The iconic fan followed that up a few hours later, sharing the selfie again in addition to a picture of his view from his seat and one of the broadcast.

According to Marlins Man, he didn't know who Lipa and Turner were. While he didn't know them, he wished them well in their marriage.

“So I had no idea who this couple were and they were so nice and friendly to everyone,” he wrote. “I told them I know sports, not music nor movies. They recently got married in June in Italy I think. I wish them 50 years or more of happiness.”

It's unknown why Lipa and Turner were at the game. It's less surprising that Marlins Man was there, as he frequents MLB games. However, Lipa and Turner appeared to be enjoying a night out on the town in New York.

They got to witness the Yankees being sent home by the Rays. They got swept in the best-of-five playoff series after beating the Boston Red Sox in the American League Wild Card round.

The Yankees were without star player Aaron Judge in the playoffs. The Rays, meanwhile, were the top seed in the American League with a 98-64 record. Only two teams eclipsed 100 wins this season: the Milwaukee Brewers (103) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (100).
