Manny Machado knows exactly what this feels like.

Once again, nine years after Adam Jones robbed him in one of the World Baseball Classic's most memorable moments, Machado was denied in a nearly identical spot in the bottom of the eighth on Wednesday night in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Brewers.

This time Machado was bidding for a two-run homer that would have tied the game and sent Petco Park into overdrive. Instead, Milwaukee center fielder Garrett Mitchell tracked it to the short wall, briefly left his feet and made the catch, wading through the San Diego fans who nearly interfered behind him.

Machado called that catch by Jones back in 2017 "something else." We'll see what he has to say about this one.
