If you've been down on your romantic luck recently, the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena have your back with a love-filled night of basketball just before Valentine's Day.

On Thursday, Jan. 7, 2027, the Hawks will host Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers. This will be known as “Single AF Night,” which is meant to “bring singles together for an unforgettable night of basketball, entertainment, and connection.”

The announcement promised that it will “provide fans with unique opportunities to meet and mingle, while experiencing the excitement of Hawks basketball.”

This comes after State Farm Arena hosted a pre-game mixer titled “Single AF Pregame Mixer” last season. Now, the Hawks will up the ante with a full night devoted to finding love.

The Hawks' scrapped “Magic City Night” promotion

The Hawks are no stranger to having themed nights. They were supposed to hold “Magic City Night” on Mar. 16, 2026, before it was cancelled.

This came as a bummer to the Hawks, who were “very disappointed” it was cancelled. However, the team also respected the decision. They still had rapper T.I. perform at halftime, though.

Atlanta is coming off a somewhat successful season. The Hawks finished in first place in the Southeast Division with a 46-36 record.

They made the playoffs, but they blew a 2-1 lead to the eventual champions, the New York Knicks. The Hawks became the first of the Knicks' playoff victims despite at one point leading in their series.

To their credit, the Hawks were the only team to lead a series against the Knicks in the playoffs. However, they lost the last three games of the series, which kickstarted the Knicks' 13-game win streak that would continue until the NBA Finals.

The Knicks didn't lose until the third game of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. However, they got it together and won the next two to win the franchise's first championship in 53 years.
