The Milwaukee Brewers won their first World Series on Wednesday over the Tampa Bay Rays. Many players earned hero status, but catcher William Contreras earned MVP honors.

Not only that, but Contreras will be the focus of one of the best sports photos in recent memory, according to MLB. The photo captures the moment the Brewers won: Contreras on his knees, looking up to the heavens and raising his arms in triumph.

It is just him and a single bat right next to him. The photo has been described as worthy of being placed in the Louver in Paris alongside the Mona Lisa.

In the same breath, the photo itself puts Tropicana Field in Tampa in a good light, despite the Rays losing. The photo is one that can be pulled off in a dome arena, per Rodger Sherman on Blue Sky.

“one of the best images in baseball history and you could only take it in a domed venue with prominent rigging all around the ceiling for lights and cameras,” Sherman posted. “Big Tropicana Field W.”

“They could take this with a drone” they don't let photographers fly drones over sporting events, they don't have long enough battery life to stay up there for the whole game”.
