A couple of months ago, Conor McGregor made his UFC return against Max Holloway. However, his return failed miserably as he lost within seconds and was ruled out with an ACL injury. Now on the shelf, recovering, McGregor has received potential fight interest from Logan Paul.

Paul recently appeared on Bet-David for an interview where he discussed his WWE career and a potential fight with McGregor. “The Maverick” made it clear that while he is still interested in fighting “The Notorious One,” he first wants to win the WWE Championship.

“Undoubtedly,” Paul stated. “I'm like 30 to 40 pounds heavier, he's not an amazing boxer, and look at the shape that he's in right now. I would honestly do boxing or MMA. Conor [McGregor] is interesting because he's such a showman and he's so convincing, he can convince people that he could beat me.

“Everyone knows he's faking it. It's funny, he's really a WWE star at the moment. He's doing the same thing I'm doing, but way worse. I think he's so captivating. I'm a fan, he's just a bum,” Paul added.

Contractual obligations have kept both McGregor and Paul apart. While Paul is now recovering from his triceps injury, McGregor is expected to heal and fight his last UFC fight next year, in 2027.

WWE won't let Logan Paul fight Conor McGregor

A few months ago on his ImPaulsive podcast, Paul appeared with UFC's Sean O’Malley. Speaking with the veteran, Paul opened up about his intention to fight McGregor, which was stopped by WWE.

I don’t think WWE will let me fight anyone. I’ll be honest, I texted my boss after Conor lost. I was like, ‘Bro, Conor is cooked, do something with it. Make a bag, let me fight him. Big WWE star versus big WWE star, cause that’s what he is now. He said that he thinks he’s done.”
