Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell was carted off the field during the club's 19-15 Week 8 win over the Minnesota Vikings after sustaining an apparent neck injury. It was a scary moment, as Campbell's teammates surrounded him with tears in their eyes as it appeared he was not moving his extremities before he was taken off the field and taken to the hospital.

The Lions shared an official update on the 26-year-old's current status. It's said that Campbell will remain in the hospital overnight for further evaluation by doctors. The organization claimed that it will provide updates when more information is at hand.

“Jack Campbell is resting and will remain in a local hospital tonight, for continued evaluation and monitoring,” the Lions posted on X. “The team will provide further updates as we have them.”
