After months and weeks of speculation about their fight in Nov. 2026, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are now finally expected to clash later this year in Dec. 2026. With the fight now almost set and rumored to take place in Wales, Netflix is now reportedly securing Manny Pacquiao for the show's second main event.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, Boxing Scene reported that a “double main event” could take place on Dec. 1, 2026, at Principality Stadium in Wales. As per the reports, Manny Pacquiao is in negotiations to fight WBO junior welterweight champion Shakur Stevenson.
Despite the pending confirmation of the long-awaited Joshua vs. Fury heavyweight battle, a “double main event” of Manny Pacquiao-Shakur Stevenson has now joined the list, as per Lance Pugmire.
Article Continues Below“Two individuals connected to the talks say Netflix ‘wants’ the power doubleheader to anchor a card that for now seems pegged for December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, a venue that can be covered from poor weather. The bout could also be shifted to December 18, if events require, the officials said,” Pugmire wrote. According to Pacquiao’s advisor Jas Mathur, any match agreements have not yet been delivered to either fighter.
Pacquiao, 47, retired from his retirement earlier last year for a world championship in Jul. 2025. He took on WBC welterweight king Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. After 12 rounds of fighting, the match was declared a draw by the ringside judges. Since then, Pacquiao has been in talks about another fight, which now finally seems to be taking place.
