The Chicago Bears were without Caleb Williams on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles. But that doesn't mean they overlooked him.
Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt took to social media, mimicking Williams' sideline look. Williams wore a hoodie, sunglasses, and a mustache.
A look that many users on social media took note of. One of them equated Williams's look to that of the notorious Unabomber Ted Kaczynski.
“You look like Ted Kaczynski. How is your manifesto going??” @madrivglen posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Kaczynski was a mathematician turned domestic terrorist who sent bombs in the mail from 1978 to 1995. He killed three people and injured 23. In 1996, he was arrested by the FBI after being turned in by his brother David. Then in 1998, he was sentenced to multiple life sentences without parole.
In 2023, Kaczynski died by suicide in prison.
Williams was out dealing with a recent hamstring injury he sustained against the Minnesota Vikings. Instead, Williams had to watch from the sidelines as 38-year-old backup QB Case Keenum went on an absolute clinic.
He threw for 247 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 2 interceptions. The Bears defeated the Eagles 27-7.
As a result, the Bears are now 2-1, and they handed the Eagles their first loss. Now, they look to face the New York Jets at Soldier Field on Sunday, Oct. 4.
Meanwhile, Williams is expected to miss three to four weeks recovering from his injury. He is expected to return in Week 5, when the Bears play the rival Green Bay Packers on the road at Lambeau Field.
