Joe Buck sees a path for the Los Angeles Rams to become the NFL’s best team. However, there is one thing standing in the way that is keeping their key players healthy.

Buck made the case Monday after the Rams rolled past the New York Giants 28-6 at SoFi Stadium. Speaking on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt, the ESPN announcer said Los Angeles is the league’s best team when its roster is healthy.

“I mean, when they're healthy, and that's the thing that hangs over every team in the National Football League, they're the best. They've got the best talent. They've got the (best) head coach. They've been there; they would theoretically play a Super Bowl on this floor, but they're gonna stay healthy, and that's the case with so many of these elite teams around the league,” he said.

The Rams backed up plenty of that praise against New York. Matthew Stafford threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, while Davante Adams took over with 195 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Adams had an especially big role with Puka Nacua sidelined by a hip injury. Stafford found Adams for several big plays as Los Angeles turned a close start into a comfortable win.

The Giants also lost rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart to an injury, which made their offense even harder to sustain. That has led some fans to question how much Monday's result says about the Rams at this point in the season.

Health remains an important part of the discussion for Los Angeles. Nacua missed Monday's game, and the Rams need Stafford, Adams, and Nacua available together if they want to reach their full offensive potential.

The Rams also have work to do after opening the season with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Monday's win evened their record at 1-1 and showed how dangerous their offense can be when Stafford has time and multiple weapons available.

Buck's assessment will get a tougher test when the Rams take on the Denver Broncos at Empower Field on Sunday.
