No team in the NFL has been as bad as the Ravens recently: Baltimore is on a four-game losing streak, and has lost three consecutive games by more than 21 points apiece. Ravens coach Jesse Minter wants his players to know that getting blown out every week is not OK.
The Ravens have been playing without star quarterback Lamar Jackson, and since last week they’ve been without backup quarterback Tyler Huntley as well, but Minter says that’s no excuse. Minter says there is no excuse at all.
“Obviously, [it’s] a tough situation for our guys, but I just told them there’s no excuses, there’s no whatever, ‘We don’t have this guy; we don’t have that guy,’” Minter said. “The results are not acceptable for us and what we’re after.”
Minter said he still thinks he can win with the players he has.
“I believe in our guys,” Minter said. “There’s spurts of good enough football. There is a real inconsistency, I would say, at all three levels, all three phases. And again, some of that is due to whatever, but that is what it is. Nobody cares about that stuff.”
What everyone cares about is winning, and the Ravens aren’t doing that. Not even close.
