The Philadelphia 76ers are currently in the end stages of their preseason as they prepare for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign. The 76ers have plenty of star power on their roster after their offseason revamp, headlined by Jaylen Brown, who was acquired by the team from the Boston Celtics.

Brown has wasted little time ingratiating himself with the local community in Philadelphia, and that trend continued with a recent appearance at multiple high schools alongside teammates Justin Edwards, Adem Bona, and Tacko Fall.

Brown was known for his work in the community during his time with the Celtics, and clearly, he has no plans on stopping that now that he is on a new team.

Meanwhile, on the court, questions persist about how the 76ers' new “big five,” headlined by Brown, LeBron James, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe, will fit together on the court, that is, if they are able to share the court much at all (injuries are of paramount concern).

There are also big questions about the relative lack of elite outside shooting on this 76ers' roster, as well as whether their defense will be able to hold up.

Still, there's no doubting the amount of star power on the team's roster, with the front office flipping Paul George and a couple of draft picks for Brown and then signing James to a minimum contract a few weeks later in free agency.

The 76ers figure to be one of the most fascinating basketball experiments in recent history, with a wide variety of outcomes on the table for the upcoming season.
