Coming up, fans can see Russell Crowe and Drew McIntyre in two movies together, and there is a chance that the Oscar-winning actor could make an appearance at a future WWE WrestleMania event.
During an interview with the Joe Vulpis podcast (via Fightful), Crowe was “legitimately talking about” doing something with McIntyre in WWE. Some of the ideas that were floated around were about them having a manager, or an “assistant lackey,” and it would have likely been done at WrestleMania.
“Russell was legitimately talking about [how] he wanted to do something a couple of times. He got all excited about us doing something together on the same team and talked about WrestleMania or whatever,” McIntyre revealed. “He talked about us having a manager, like an assistant lackey. It was more of a heel thing that he was coming up with, he had some great ideas. He was willing to do it.”
However, the only thing preventing this dream from becoming a reality is Crowe's price tag. McIntyre conceded that they'd have to talk to WWE higher-ups “about the numbers because I'm assuming he's not cheap,” as he explained while laughing.
WWE star Drew McIntyre and Russell Crowe's upcoming movies

Coming up, Crowe and McIntyre will star in The Last Druid and Highlander together. Maybe they will be asked about a potential WWE team-up during the press tours.
McIntyre has been away from WWE since WrestleMania 42 to film his upcoming projects. He will also be part of the ensemble of the upcoming animated Disney movie Hexed. He lost to Jacob Fatu in his last match in WWE.
The Last Druid, Highlander, and Hexed are his latest movie roles after making his film debut in The Killer's Game. The 2024 action movie also featured a former WWE Superstar, Dave Bautista, who will also star in Highlander.
