The Commanders have ruled out quarterback Jayden Daniels with a left elbow injury.
By appearances, Daniels could be out much longer than just the second half.
The injury happened similarly to the way his 2025 injury happened. Daniels dislocated his left elbow in a Nov. 2 loss to the Seahawks as his arm bent backward severely at the elbow as he landed with his full body weight.
Daniels was trying to brace himself after an offensive lineman stepped on his foot on the final play of the first half. His left arm bent backward severely at the elbow.
The gruesome replay prompted Fox analyst Tom Brady to say, âÂÂOh, shit,â on air.
Daniels was carted to the X-ray room.
Marcus Mariota has replaced Daniels and threw what appeared to be a 29-yard touchdown pass to Dyami Brown, which would have tied the game. Replay somehow upheld the on-field ruling after a Washington challenge. The Fox crew repeatedly disagreed with the replay decision.
The Commanders now trail 17-13 after a field goal.
The Dallas offense, which hasnâÂÂt been on the field in 50 minutes, is getting its first opportunity of the second half.
