Jayden Daniels injury: Commanders QB carted off after elbow injury
Commanders QB Jayden Daniels appeared to suffer a significant elbow injury against the Cowboys

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels appeared to suffer another injury to his left elbow just before halftime of SundayâÂÂs game against the Dallas Cowboys.
With the Commanders facing 3rd-and-goal inside the Dallas 5-yard line, and without a timeout remaining, Dan Quinn kept his offense on the field to try in a 17-10 game led by the Cowboys. Daniels began the play under center, and seemed to trip over the linemen in front of him, using his left arm to try and brace himself when he fell.
That is when the injury happened:
After the play, Daniels struggled to get to his feet before going back down to the turf at AT&T Stadium. Eventually, the cart came out for Daniels and he was taken off the field, with an aircast on his left arm:
The injury was rather gruesome to watch on replays, during which Tom Brady on FOX Sports let an expletive slip while seeing the replay himself. We are not embedding that replay here, but you can watch the replay to see the injury if you wish.
However, be advised it is rather difficult to watch.
Daniels missed most of the second half of the 2025 season after dislocating that same left elbow.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
