The 3-2 Lions emerge from their bye with a visit from the Packers. And Detroit quarterback Jared Goff has a chance to emerge from the NFC North showdown with something no player in NFL history has accomplished.

Goff has 12 touchdown passes and no interceptions through five games. Via NBC Sports research, if Goff throws three or more on Sunday and no interceptions, Goff will become the first quarterback in NFL history to start a season with 15 or more touchdown passes and no interceptions through six games.

Goff is averaging 297.0 passing yards per game. That puts him at third in the NFL.

But the Detroit offense hasn’t been the issue in 2026. The defense faces a stiff test against the Packers, and they’ll need to deliver if Detroit is going to avoid falling to .500.
