A report on Tuesday morning said Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison is headed for arthroscopic knee surgery and that his timeline for return won’t be known until the operation takes place.
The Jaguars revealed on Tuesday afternoon he’ll be out at least four games regardless of what’s determined during surgery. Harrison was placed on injured reserve and that could be where he spends the rest of the season. Per Tuesday’s report, one of the potential outcomes is that Harrison misses the rest of the season.
Walker Little is set to replace Harrison against the Texans in London this week. The Jaguars have a bye in Week 7 and then face the Colts, Ravens and Titans.
Jacksonville filled Harrison’s roster spot with the previously reported signing safety Kaevon Merriweather off of their practice squad.
They also announced that they have signed long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer to the practice squad. Ross Matiscik was forced out of last Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury and defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton was pressed into service in that role.
