Liam Coen was defiant about the draft position Travis Hunter as the pair help the Jacksonville Jaguars achieve success throughout the 2026 season.

Hunter is going through the second season of his young NFL career with the Jaguars. Jacksonville selected him second overall in the draft, highlighting his two-way talents as a receiver and cornerback after winning the Heisman Trophy at Colorado.

Hunter has been active at cornerback this season, more frequently than receiver. While the stats haven't been as flashy as he would like, Jacksonville is off to a solid start to the campaign. This is something Coen emphasized as both parties have their focus on winning games on the team's behalf.

“I don’t give two f’s about value, and neither does he. We care about winning, and that’s it,” Coen said.

Liam Coen knows he can get more out of Travis Hunter throughout the season. However, winning remains the top priority for both parties as they attempt to elevate the Jaguars to serious playoff contention.

Hunter showcased flashes as a rookie in 2025. He made 28 catches for 298 yards and a touchdown on offense while making 15 tackles and three pass deflections on defense.

This season is slowly seeing him catch along. He has an eight-yard reception to his name while making nine tackles, two pass deflections and his first career interception.

As for Coen, he has high expectations after going 13-4 last season. The team possesses high potential to make a deep playoff run, seeing the head coach dig deep to get the best out of the Jaguars.

Jacksonville is off to a 2-1 start to the 2026 campaign, controlling the top spot in the AFC South Division standings. They are above the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans at the moment.

The Jaguars will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4 as kickoff commences on Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. ET.
