The Los Angeles Rams will be facing the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, and somebody is set to make their highly anticipated return. Aaron Donald didn't play in Week 1 as he was still working to get back in top shape, and it looks like he may be ready to hit the field, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

“I think we're going to see Aaron Donald make his debut tonight. This is not injury news; this is good news. Aaron Donald is returning from a two-year absence. Not really on his couch; the guy's been training. He's still jacked. We've seen him on Instagram. Needed to get himself in football shape,” Rapoport said.

Aaron Donald's status vs. Giants

It seems more than likely that Donald will be suiting up against the Giants, and that's good news for the Rams. There is still uncertainty on how many snaps he'll play, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the Rams brought him along slowly as the season goes. Though he stayed in shape throughout his absence, being in full game shape is a different thing.

Donald should still be able to make an impact on the field, and teams might still game plan for him. They're going to need anything he can give them with Myles Garrett out after being put on injured reserve. When he gets back healthy and plays alongside Donald, that could be a nightmare for opposing offenses.

The Rams are trying to get the bad taste out of their mouth from Week 1 after taking a tough loss against the San Francisco 49ers. This game against the Giants might not be easy after seeing how they played against the Dallas Cowboys, and there's a chance the Rams could be missing their top offensive option, Puka Nauca.
